I recently transferred my itunes songs to my new OS drive. In doing so I must have some how duplicated many of my songs. Is there a way to delete duplicates all at once or do I have to sort my songs and delete individually?

Help!

In iTunes, select Music under your Library and go to Files|Show Duplicates

Now select the songs you wish to delete and cmd+alt+del or ctrl+alt+del for windows!

Is there a program that will help in this? I have many songs and Duplicates it will take forever to do it manually.

I'm not sure about your music, but when I use iTunes to find duplicates I get, naturally, duplicates of song that are different lengths. I have several versions of certain songs because I like the variation, but iTunes looks at Song Title, not length.

What I'm saying is don't just go through and blindly delete 'duplicates' if there're some you'd like to keep: eg, the radio edit as well as the live version. If you only want one version, it's a piece of cake but otherwise just be a bit careful.
