I jailbroke using redsn0w and unlocked using ultrasn0w. Everything went fantastic until I made a call. I can not hear any noise coming from the other end. This problem is fixed when on speakerphone. It does not matter whether the call is sent or recieved from the phone. Obviously, I would like to be able to use it when not on speakerphone. This phone had no problems in this regard before I jailbroke/unlocked it.

You're sure its not stuck on speaker last time you used your headphones on?
If the earpiece worked before the JB then restore back to official 4.0 and rejailbreak and unlock.

The thing I did right before I jailbroke was do a restore and upgrade to 4.0, so that is literally the last thing I did. Would doing it again really change anything?

Similar problem without JB: no voice/no mic, only speakers

My wife has an iPhone 3G, which we just updated to iOS4.0. Everything seems to work OK, except that - since upgrading - she is no longer able to hear anyone on the other end of the call, and no one can hear her. :( Unless she works with the hands-free speaker - then both directions work again. We've tried restarting, and a hard reset, but to no avail. Sometimes, the key-clicks don't work either...
Any suggestions or experience?
Thanks!

So maybe it's a 4.0 thing...?
