So hear me out…

I kind a like the Magic Keyboard for the adjustability and height increase it gives. But don’t care much for the keyboard. It adds too much “heft” using it as a normal day to day case and I’m never not using a case for my iPads (don’t ask). This would still be heavier than a regular case, but less so. Also no battery. And I have several extra Apple keyboards. I like moving the keyboard around and not be stuck to the iPad. I also like a mouse, not trackpad.

All I want the Magic Keyboard sans keys+trackpad. And I’m putting it out there in the ether. Am I the only one?

And the kickstands and similar devices that do what I want us fugly, too nerdy (pocket pen protector not good nerdy), too bothersome or just something extra to loose.

My guess is I can get a busted one and get it remodelled…

Mmmyes, but it’s sooo fnugly

And I like how the Apple one looks, feels and adjusts.

My use case is this (and I don’t think I’m alone on this):

- I like to use a case to protect my ipad, also helps with slippery iPaditis
- The Apple w/keyboard is just too heavy
- Using it as a case isn’t possible since it’s not 360 and if you could, your fingers would be gripping the keys.
- I like moving keyboard around and not locked to screen
- I’d like to use this permanently and bring along keyboard as needed
- Also good for viewing tv (ipad) in bed

Might just get the damn Apple one anyway and stop complaining about it….

I have similar use case. At the moment I use MK and magnetic folio case interchangeably.
