like (right click and format in windows )

Open 'Disk Utility', its in utilities in your applications folder.

Click on the usb on the left panel. Select "Erase" tab and select the volume format you want in the drop down menu. For just Macs, Mac OS Journaled is fine, but if you want to use it with Windows too, select MS dos.
