I have my dock bar on the left of the screen. It now has a white background. UGH!

Is there any way to fix it?

Not currently. The old docks were generated using images, so you could swap out the images for your own to customize.

The new dock is software generated, so atm there is nothing you can do.

I had a text dock that had to say goodbye. I know how it feels. :(

Flavours is also in beta for mavericks atm, which is a comprehensive theming app, similar to the old school shapeshifter. That will probably allow dock customisation

So the Dock is now it's own App?

Same here.

Installing the Nocturne theme on deviant art doesn't work anymore, but a "fix" is in the works. (i turn everything back to normal except the dock)

Last update I am able to change the indicator light to another color. So there is hope.
