I want my old iPad back!

I accidentally knocked my iPad off 2nd story balcony, shattered the screen. Went to apple got a new one for around 250.00. Asked for my old one back which I paid full price for and they wouldnt give it back to me. Is that legal?

$250 is the price of an out-of-warranty repair. Physical damage (like dropping it off of a balcony) isn't covered under the warranty.

Warranty repairs, whether in-warranty or out-of-warranty, require exchanging your broken iPad for the replacement. You don't get to keep both.

To keep your broken one, you would have had to purchase a brand-new, full-price iPad. $499+, assuming you had the new one.
