Fake all the way.

Its interesting that the ramp is obscured by the hill partially which is used to knit together the video.

I don't believe this one second.

A dummy flew into the pool.. then they cut the video, replaced the dummy with a real person... Who then climbed out with a claim to fame.

Just my honest thought.

AL9o :apple:

If you look closely at the figure in mid-air during its flight from ramp to tub, you'll notice it moving (check the arms) as expected (at least not as rigidly as a supposed dummy would).

I'm pretty sure though that before this man did the stunt, they had tested it many times with a dummy of same size and weight as the stuntman.

I believe.

Yeah, the figure moves it's arms downward very quickly in mid-air, it couldn't have been a dummy unless it was motorized or something.

Dummies don't move their arms like that and it looks he tucks his body into a cannonball type position right before he lands.

The hill obscuring the slide opens some room for doubt.

I could see this being real or being fake. It's not obvious to me one way or another.

I was thinking stunt dummy, but you see a cannonball position.

I was thinking CGI, but the water in the kiddy pool sort of disproves that.

Only thing that I'd be concerned about would be my legs getting smashed because I'm traveling in a forward direction and a few feet of water won't stop one from continuing on forward, smashing into the side of the kiddy pool.

Edit: I actually can't tell if the splash is fake. The water looks too "rolly" when it's leaving the wooden platform the pool is resting on.

that was tight.

but the width of the ramp leaves a lot of room for inconsistencies.. and that tiny pool requires quite a bit of consistency i'd say.

gizmodo is reporting this video is fake - big surprise there but also its a viral add for MS office - I'm failing to see the link there.

Fake, notice as it moves through the air, the motion is incredibly smooth and stable, the same kind of stable you get when working in After Effects... It's sadly a fake, a good one though.
