anybody know were i can download icon packs for my mbp. i want to change most of the system and app. icons. and besides candybar what is a good app. to use that can automate this process. thank you. any input would be appreciated.

I would use CandyBar.
You have time to use it before it 'freezes' and asks for payment. I think its 14 days, but double check.
As for icon packs, start with Deviant Art, and also MacThemes2.
MacThemes2 is dedicated to Mac only releases.
On DeviantArt, click Cusomization, Icons, System Icons, Mac OS and have it sort by the most popular.
