Hi,

About eight months ago I had to change the hard drive in my ibook. Because I did that change in Germany, some features are in German. Others are in spanish because I lived in Mexico. How do I change the language settings for the programs and operating system. (I hope I am explaining this correctly) ??

Thank you very much,

igmolinav.

Just organize the languages in International Preference Pane. The convert everything to a new default language, reinstall the OS (you won't have to do the archive and install, just a normal reinstall) and at the startup menu, choose the appropriate language from the menu.

TEG

System Preferences -> International

Drag the language you want the top. Adjust your other settings too (formats etc)

restart (or log out and back in)

Wait, why reinstall the OS? If she switches main languages in the International pane, the next time she logs off and logs on everything will be in the language of her choice.

You can set the language on the log in screen also. There should be a little flag symbol at the top of the box where you whould type in the pasword. Click the flag and then choose your language.
