Flat screen next to the iMac to connect to...if not, then apple tv on the other side of the room playing ur fav. movies 24/7.

Besides the obvious ( flat screen tv or monitor) you might also consider an x10 or insteron system. A starter kit can be had for 100.
Dim or turn on lights ( or any electrical device) automatically by programing everything with your computer or with a remote while sitting on your favorite chair.

I have a nice little nerd cave. It's a desk I made out of shelves and glass. It wraps all around me, with a shelved wall behind me. I have my iMac off to the side with it connected to a 37" 1080p HDTV. I have all my game systems connected to it (Xbox 360 mostly for Netflix, PS3 for Bluray, and a few other older systems). I will put up a picture tomorrow morning.

I'm in a similar boat, bought a house last year, finally getting around to properly setting up my home office in our half basement. Difficulty is that it's got a support pole dead center in the room, really interrupting my ability to put in a decent sized couch of any sort, and 2 of the walls have storage closets on them that I need access to.
