I used to be able to download and upload to Apple but now I can't. There aren't options for downloading and uploading folders now. How do I reclaim my property from Apple, Inc?!

What I did was set Photos to download originals then export to an external drive (exFat) and then use that to get the photos to my Windows pc.

I only exported 2-3k per export otherwise I experienced crashes and high memory usage.

I am on a PC. How do you do that?

Very good question. I do not know. I was hoping iCloud Drive for Windows would have this feature but it does not. It only syncs the ones I take from this point forward to a Download folder.

How many photos do you have?

I had 52,000+ so I had to use Photos on my Mac to export.

My guess is iCloud.com and download the photos there manually? :/

I can’t remember exactly where it is but you can go to the Apple web site and request a download of many different things including your iCloud photos. They email you a link a few days later and you then download the zip files. Do a google for more info.

Same. How did you export?

Highlighted 2-5k photos, File --> Export Unmodified Originals.

It was a very painful process that took some time and ... crashed a lot so I had to write down the start/stop of each select just in case I had to do it again.
