I've had my iPod Touch 2nd Gen JailBroken for almost 2 months now but lately has been acting odd; music starts playing at random places, apps crash randomly here and there...so I decided to do a complete restore...

My iPod Touch erased to original out of the box settings but iTunes now has and says its running on 3.1.2 which I believe RedSn0w can't work under and needs 3.0

How can I get my iPod Touch Jailbroken?

I've attempted to open RedSn0w on my Mac and jailbreak it but it just won't let me. I do use RedSn0w with the .ipa file which is "3.0-ish."

Blackra1n will jailbreak a Touch 2G with 3.1.2. Just run it on an install of 3.1.2 and it will take about 30 seconds. Once done run the Blackra1n app installed on your Touch to download Cydia. Do not install Icy it will only cause problems that can only be fixed with a restore.
