But no clue how. Is there a thread I can look at that'll give me a rundown on what to do or what is the best way to do this?

Just google it I assume? My phone is updated to the most recent version.

EDIT: Is this legit at all?

Just go to iClarified dude. They are best. A google search is really handy for newbies, as well as a forum search. There are many, many, many, many threads exactly like this so I suggest you do one of the two before posting a new thread next time.

Good luck with the jailbreak!

Legit, not legal. I know it's legal just voids.
I am just fairly confused and now I have a friend telling me not to use Redsnow, which I think I'm using it in the iClarified website.
I want to do this but so skeptical and confused what to do overall.

EDIT: I just want to use a fairly easy way to jailbreak it and then be able to restore if necessary if I don't like it.

who said not to use redsn0w? if your friend actually knew about this in the first place, he would know 4.3.3 can only be jailbroken via redsn0w. i believe snowbreeze has been updated to do it too though.

One of my friends, but I'll still go through with it. This does not make sense to me, however:

"These are instructions on how to jailbreak your iPhone 4 on the 4.3.3 firmware using RedSn0w for Windows. The Mac version of this tutorial is here.

Make sure not to update to iOS 4.3.3 if you need an unlock as one is not yet available!"

there's a different process for unlock jailbreaking if you're preserving baseband. just the read the guide completely...

yea. im using redsn0w to jailbreak my iphone 4 right now.
its very safe.
i updated to ios beta 2, but i cant give up fakeclockup or my own themes
