I want to make myself an HTML website where i can put pics, videos and other funny stuff so i can share with family and friends. The problem is i have no knowlage on how to do so, i have no idea where to begin. I did PhotoShope for a while but nothing major.

How could i start and teach myself? i need this to be simple and powerfull tool if possible, Thanks.

Well, the real question is how much time and money you want to sink into it. If you just want a site that you can use to post text, pics, etc, the easiest thing to do would be to set up a .mac account and use Homepage (or one of the countless free/cheap alternatives).

OTOH, I started like you did back in 1999 and opted to buy Dreamweaver. I taught myself how to use the whole Macromedia suite it and now my sites sell for over 10 grand. Not bad for a hobby.

WYSIWYG = What You See Is What You Get

is a start if you do not want to learn html from code/text only.

FreeWay, GoLive, DreamWeaver are some of the applications that use WYSIWYG technology. There are many more, try looking for a wide selection on www.versiontracker.com :)
