So last summer i purchased the 2012(june) 15" mbp and it's a little to big for me to lug around campus. I was looking at prices for smaller MacBooks, and was wondering if i would have any chance of selling this Mac for a 13" rMBP with 256Gb flash ($1700). This mac is upgraded with a 2.6GHz i7, 8GB ram, and and 7200rmp 750Gb hdd, and a glossy display (priced at $2,350). Just looking for current worth, its still in almost brand new condition.

Look on craigslist or ebay for similar machines, you'll see the going prices for them there.

What i noticed is, classic macbook pros have trouble breaking 1500+ these days. I think the mentality is, why spend 1500+ when a retina could be bought for only 200 more dollars.

For example, someone in the market place sold a mint 2011 2.4 15" pro with 16gb ram, 256gb ssd with HD in optibay, applecare AND a high res anti glare for only 1300.
