For pretty much everything I do (except HD video) my iMac is more than adequate. However, being stuck with this 250GB drive is slowly driving me insane.

I'd really like to swap in a terabyte drive. However, these 20" iSight G5 iMacs are pretty rough looking internally - I understand I will have to remove the LCD screen. This doesn't bother me too much - I have been building and modifying my own electronics and computers for years. The problem I have is that I am very anal about keeping things clean and as close to stock as possible in terms of the internals. If I can't do this cleanly and professionally I don't think I want to do it at all.

I see that I'll have to remove a lot of foil tape. Will it be easy to replace? I don't want to hillbilly together the insides of my machine.

Thanks in advance!
