It been ages since I updated my jailbroken ipad 2. It is currently on an ancient 4.10.01 firmware. It's time it gets updated. I tried updating to 5.1.1 but I hear itunes has closed that option. What's the newest version I can update to that I can then jailbreak?
version 4.3.3
it's a gsm version I think, using a windows system.

Thanks :)

4.10.01 is a BB version for the iPhone 4

The iPad2 came original with the 4.3 iOS version

Check and see what SHSH/blobs/hashes you have, it should be at the top of the main page of Cydia; SHSH….

If you have SHSH's for 5.1.1 you can update tor that via redsn0w if you don't have any SHSH's either automaically saved by Cydia or manually saved with TinyUmbrella there is nothing that you can upgrade to and Jailbreak.

Than you can only wait for the next jailbreak on 6.01 or 6.1. Make sure you save SHSH's for those versions!
