I want to upgrade MacBook Pro

I have a MacBook Pro Mid 2009.

I wish to upgrade its hard disk from 320 GB to a higher value and ram from 4GB to Eight GB.

Please suggest where from I can buy these items in UK.

Are these parts are DIY. Does replacing these parts my self viod warrenty ?
