I download Windows media player files, realplayer and quick time. I would like to watch everything on my mac but sometimes i have a problem which says you dont have the files/ or somthing else to view this file. Where can i find all i need to view "every" movie file out on the net?

Thanks

Why is it that Quicktime can play some .avi's but not others? My digital camera produces AVI format videos, however, when I get AVI files from my brothers Quicktime can't open them (codec not available). Any reason?

(Also, they wont' play in VLC either, but they work fine on his machine)

When you "get AVI from my brothers Quicktime"? What in God's name are you talking about?

My translation: MichaelrJohnson's brother has has AVI files on his computer, which play in quicktime. When his brother sends him the AVI files, though, they don't play in MichaelrJohnson's quicktime. He wants to know why they play on his brother's computer, but not on his own. [/my translation]

Did your brother's digital camera maybe come with a CD that installed a special version of the .AVI codec onto his Quicktime?
