Anechoic RF testing facility.

My background is in RF Engineering with an emphasizes on R&D and product qualification testing.

I worked for a major US Defense Contractor in Maryland and our RF Anechoic Chambers paled in comparison to what Apple has. Only when you consider that we tested Airborne Radar systems can you realize the difference in scope of the facilities.

Anechoic chambers are very expensive to design, build, and to equip and operate.

Apple built a facility several times larger then what we had, to test a device no bigger than a small circuit board in what we tested.

When I saw some of the images I was drooling, wishing I could work in a facility as nice as theirs.

If it was not for this overhyped iPhone 4 *issue* I/we would never have seen the insides of Apples secret facility.

I bet they could take on outside work for some defense contractors, but then they would have to allow access to people not cleared to see iPhone 5 !!! :D
