I love it and use it frequently.

speed and power isn't really an issue for me, so I will be sticking with my 2015 MBP until it fails. By then there will be some better way. But for now, I would find it a hassle.

I am just saying the early adopters will be inconvenienced until the world catches up..
 
Concur. For traveling photographers it's was great to have onboard without the need for a dongle. Or to be able to use a shorty ssd storage in sd form factor (I used a 256gb card) that sits flush and is extended storage to my onboard ssd
