What has been seen cannot be unseen!
I walked into the Apple store in Southlake, TX to look at the r.iMac. Now, I wish I hadn't. It looked so good, I am going to have to upgrade sooner rather than later.
Holy crap! That screen is beautiful! It is night and day compared to my non-retina iMac. Text was beautiful and very sharp. I watched a couple of 4K videos and it was simply amazing.
The r.iMac was very smooth - switching between apps, scrolling on Safari, and minor tweaking of video in FCPX. I didn't get to play with Photoshop, so I don't know how well it handles GPU intensive actions. But, from the way it handled video, I doubt it would have any problems with PScc.
Visually, I haven't seen anything like it. Wow!
