I find putting my finger in the top right corner and pulling down pretty easy.

Sounds like the 14 will possibly show the percentage all the time, so maybe . . . .

this is not exclusively available only on new hardware. iOS 16 - currently in beta 6 - allows to show the battery charge as percentage within the the top bar on iPhone X, XS;XS Max, 11 Pro;Pro Max, all 12 and 13.

Isn’t he asking about viewing an iPad’s battery percentage from his iPhone though? I don’t think it’s possible but it would be a nice feature. I have 2 iPads and would like to see if they’re needing charged via my iPhone.

Your iPhone would have to be connected to your iPad via Bluetooth which just wouldn’t be practical.

I agree this would be useful I use the batter widget on my iPhone which shows the batter of my iPhone and watch constantly and AirPods when in use. Would be great if it also showed iPad if nearby but I guess there isn’t a constant connection so it can’t

I’d actually like this as well. It’s nice to see my headphones and Watch in the battery widget on iPhone. But the amount of times I’ve gone to bed, picked up my iPad and it’s got a flat battery, I can’t even count.

Sure, I could have a better charging regime, and yeah, I have a charger next to my bed. But still, considering how often I see that widget on a daily basis, I wouldn’t mind some advance warning that my iPad battery is deid.

Is there?
Yes, sort of, assuming "Find my iPad" is activated.

On your iPhone, go to the "Find My" app.
Select your iPad. You'll see a battery icon for the iPad, showing charge status. It doesn't give an exact percentage, but you'll still have a pretty good idea of the remaining charge on your iPad.

If you have an Apple Watch, this also works for that. But if you have an Apple Watch, you should be wearing it - right? ;)

You wouldn’t need a constant connection. An on-off Bluetooth connection or just Continuity via iCloud would work fine.

Ah, right. I was just saying that because I can check the battery levels of EarPods, speakers and the MagSafe battery when they are connected to my device. iCloud would make a lot more sense for sure.
