I wish they'd tell you what you have to do after upgrade

Upgraded and then what should I have to do? Had to log back into iCloud for iMessage. Had to have iTunes re-verify my credit card for iTunes. what is next.
I guess an upgraded MBP is treated as a new machine for parts of the Apple system. Nice if they told you all that stuff.
