I think it would be cool if we could customize the activity rings. For example, the red calorie ring is fine as is, but I would rather see steps progression instead of actual stand time. I just think Apple should allow us to customize the rings how we prefer. Maybe someday.

Totally agree. Stand hours is the stupidest measure of health. Standing up for 1 minute per hour does not make a person healthy. I would way rather see that ring swapped to a steps ring or at least give us the option to choose what health metrics we want on our rings to represent.

:D The idea is not to stand for one minute every hour, the idea is to stand for at least one minute every hour. Sure, you can do one minute, but what's the point?

that's a good idea, more customization would be nice, and also customization (toggles) for certain features ...
But, this is Apple, so while I'd like to see that, probably not going to happen ...

go back to the origin of the AW when it was released in 2015, the purpose was for couch potatoes to get their behind up, which is still a good idea ... but read my post above

at first i didn't appreciate the approach apple was taking with Move, Exercise, Stand.
but they have won me over.

Move (calories) has proven to be very accurate.
Exercise is great.

Regarding Stand, I was sceptical, but have tested it out with 15 and 16 Stand Hour goals.
As long as you do move around purposefully, even for only a short time, in order to "get the blood flowing" and get your heart beat rate up by 10+ beats, it does seem to be helpful.

The change in Stand that i would like is for apple to allow us set the number of minutes that we need to be "Stand"ing in order for it to award an accumulated Stand hour.
i would like to be able for it to add all the time "Stand"ing and only award the Stand hour for the goal we have set.
in my case, i would like to set the accumulated goal per hour to be "Stand"ing for 5 minutes.
that would make more sense to me.
in lieu of a setting that would do accumulate the minutes for me, i use Indoor Walk and set the excercise goal for 2 minutes; and do that twice an hour, if i have been sitting at my desk or on the couch.

but anyway, even at 1 min it does seem to be useful if your total Stand Hours goal is set to something like 12 or higher.

As long as I’m drinking enough water, I’m standing up at least once per hour. 🤣

Actually the benefits kick in at even 3 minutes, apparently. More effective than I thought.
