In a raffle at a continuing education event, I won a 16 GB, wifi ipad. I was already pleased the CE had an open bar. This was just the topper on the sundae.
I've just ordered my TPU case and face film from monoprice.
Granted, I'd have preferred the 3G ipad, but I'm not giving this back. :p

Congrats! :)

I wish prizes in my area were as good. The top prize was a not very expensive microwave before ( still use it actually) well done on winning though, hope you get to enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine.

Just had a flashback to something that happened to my Mom and Sister about 20 years ago.

My Sister calls my Mom...

Sister: Mom, I won a microwave!
Mom: Lisa - you go from wanting one thing to the next! click!

Anyway congrats on winning the iPad!

Microwaves are really useful though. I can't imagine doing my cooking without one. One disadvantage to the ipad is that you can't cook with it.
Oddly, there was no mention of the giveaway--just that it was a dinner and continuing education event. The only reason I won was because there were only 10-15 other attendees. Even my bad luck can't beat that.

Enjoy! And if you really want a 3G version, why not advertise yours for sale and see what you can get for it? With Apple's robust resale market you may be surprised what it's worth and then the 3G version will be a decidedly cheap upgrade considering you paid zip for the original! :p

It still has full warranty and the buyer can add Applecare to it for extended warranty so seriously, you may be surprised what you can get for it and then buy the one that you do want. Cheers!

Cool prize. I got a iPod Nano in a raffle last year. But an iPad would have been awesome. Enjoy!

Congrats.

I've been entered in drawing at conferences for at least 6 of them in the past month, but have yet to win anything!

I "won" mine in a sales spiff contest 2 weeks ago. 16GB WIFI. I took the sealed package to Best Buy and traded it in, paying the extra $100 to upgrade to the 32GB. Figured $100 was a fair price to pay.

I've really been wanting one so I have been entering the Zagg giveaways. I have decided when the new generation comes out I will probably get the new one :)

LOL. It's probably more correct to say "Considering the girl parts, I am the woman". However, I think you get the point. ;)

Please post actual pictures of proof of said parts...j/k
:p
Sorry to disappoint, but only the boyfriend-types get to see my girl parts. :)

I thought about doing that and getting a 16GB 3G, but my frugal self rebels against paying for something that I would've gotten a few years down the road. I was going to wait a few years, because I usually try to avoid first gen products.
Anyway, I'm getting great use out of it as an ereader. Also, my handbreak videos were already compatible with the ipad (who would've thunk?). So, even though Dallas is crap for free wi-fi, I'm not missing the option of always on internet for the iPad.
