I wonder if running VMware fusion would activate the discrete graphics?

Just curious if on battery and one would activate vmware fusion if osx will decide to activate the discrete gpu.

I know there is no way to tell but I hope not because I use vmware fusion all the time on the go and it would suck for the battery life.

It's going to be interesting to find out. We don't know exactly how it's going to work. All we know is that the OS is going to monitor processes and resources and configure the GPU to meet needs. This will show how intuitive automatic switching is going to be.
