Is anyone else finding the swipe to go back gestures not behaving correctly on the iPhone 14 pro?

It seems like the swipes now need to go 90% of the width of the screen to actually work, otherwise it just rubber bands back again. Sometimes it seems like even swiped over to 95% of the screen width it still snaps back.

I swear it only needed about 40% the width of my previous iPhone X to register and perform the action. Wondering if jumping on the 16.1 beta could help but there’s nothing in the release notes that sound like this

I don’t think so. It’s the apple leather case and no screen protector, so I would hope not

I just need to swipe maybe 5% of the width of the screen to go back. You just flick from the left (or right) edge of the screen to go back/forth. Who slides their finger across the while screen? 😆

Not me, at least before I got this phone. I dunno wtf is up if it’s just me having this issue, it makes the gesture more of a hassle than just using two hands which is pretty crappy

But you really swiped your finger 40% across the screen? That's absolutely unnecessary.

I have no idea, honestly I never thought much about it until it didn’t work on this new phone. I don’t have a giant phone, so the difference between 5% and 40% is only about 2cm. I’m not going to lose sleep over all that energy I’ve been wasting in the natural motion of my thumb swipes 🙄

But you created a thread about how you previously needed to swipe 40% over the screen, where as now you have to swipe 90% or more. 🤷‍♂️
And I (and userˋ 'adambiggs') just made you aware, that it's enough to simply flick left/right. Of course my "5%" where just some random number, but maybe you didn't read my while comment?

I’m really not sure what your hoping to get out of this interaction. You just seem to want to antagonise me for my guess at how far I used to have to swipe, now that it’s not behaving as it used to (for me)

I concede you’re a far superior iPhone swiper than me, have a gold star ⭐️

You seem to get offended quite easily if a snarky comment about swiping across a screen gets to you, but whatever. Have a nice day. 👍
