Maybe there is a simple explanation. But my wife's i4 just stopped working. Plugging it into the wall, the computer, nothing. Not sure what happened and she claims she didn't drop it or anything.

She said she was using it with the car (bluetooth) and that's when it just went black / off.

So we sat around scratching our heads and I did a hard rest and nothing. Did a hard rest 4 more times until finally the Apple Logo appeared. It seems ok now and the batt level is at 25%.

Could the car's bluetooth system mess up the i4? Is a restore in order?

I had the same thing happen a few weeks ago. i made a call, set it down and went back to work, 30 mins or so later I pick it up to make another call and it's dead. It wouldn't respond to anything, plugged it up, hard reset, etc. I even tried DFU still nothing. I made a genius bar appt and before I left I tried a hard reset again and it powered up. It's been fine ever since. Go figure?
