hello guys. i bought a iphone 4 in the US but i live in europe.
its a:
version 4.1 (8B117)
modem firmware 02.10.04

from what i've read its not unlockable yet. but someone told me you could
unlock it tethered wich would mean you just couldnt reboot the phone because then the unlock goes away. is that true?

Firmware => untethered or tethered JB

Baseband => Possible unlock.

4.1 JB is untethered using Redsnow, Limerain or Greenpoison. 2.10 baseband can't be unlock.

ok.. unlockable forever or? i feel kind of like a tool with a iphone where the
phone function doesnt work..

It cannot be unlocked at the moment.
Maybe down the road.
Why did you buy a phone that you cannot use as a phone and have to deal with JB, unlocking, SHSh's, tethered jailbreaks etc...
If you're in Europe you can buy a factory unlocked iphone and not have to worry about all that.

well i was in america and its so much cheaper there. like half the price.
didnt know the unlocking was such a hassle. where could i sell it when its locked onto at&t ?
