My iMac finally arrived on wednesday and I have it setup connected to the home wireless network.

I have my Macbook Pro about 10" from my iMac and I get a full signal on it. On my iMac I've never had more than three bars when it is connected. My iMac will periodically disconnect, drop signal strength to one bar, or the internet will slow down to an unusuable speed for no apparent reason, all the while my Macbook Pro will remain at full wireless strength and working fine. Often when it disconnects, I won't be able to reconnect for some time, it will bring me to the screen where I am to enter my network password but then say connection timed out.

I've tried adding DNS servers on my iMac but this hasn't made any difference. I really don't want to have to return my iMac after having waited so long to get it.. is there anything else I can do?
