I've decided to get a 13" MBA 128gb because this will be my secondary computer (storing music/videos on mac mini). Definitely will get the 8gb ram but not sure whether I should get i5 or i7? Planning on doing office/net tasks but also running windows 8 on bootcamp.

If you can afford it/justify the pricing, I'd go for the i7. Always future-proof where you can, and you're never going to suffer from more performance.

As the battery life doesn't suffer with an i7 I can't think of any disadvantages to getting it, other than the additional price I suppose.

I suppose I can't really afford it, but if it were absolutely necessary I'd find someway to do it. Just was wondering if i5 was enough to run win 8 on bootcamp
