Apologies if this is a topic that has been discussed to death already, but as a relative lamen to what goes on under the hood of a Mac, my expertise, average as they are, are in operating them...but my question is as an average user is it worth me spending an extra couple hundred pounds when choosing my new 13 inch MBP on getting dual core 2.7ghz i7 as opposed to the 2.3ghz dual core i5?

My needs are relatively simple, web, email, music, videos, graphic design in adobes creative suite, and the occasional game but nothing too taxing.

can someone explain the main differences between the 2.

Thanks in advance.
