Hi,

I'm in the process of getting my BTO 27" iMac, and while I have read a lot of the i5 vs. i7 threads before I posted, I stil have a few questions:

1) What are examples of specific applications that would benefit from the hyperthreading (and as I understand it 4 additional virtual cores)?

2) For purposes of clarification, is the major difference between the i5 and the i7 the hyperthreading? (other than the clock speed and cache if applicable, of course).

3) Does the i7 really run hotter than the i5?

4) Will the "I always have 100 applications open at the same time" user still benefit from more RAM vs hyperthreading?

Thank you!
