I decided on the MBA 13" 8gb 256SSD but dont know whether to get the i5 or i7 processor. My main concern is if the i7 may get shorter battery life, i have no facts on this just complete assumption. Also is the upgrade worth it and why/why not? I would appreciate if you guys can give me a few quick responses i plaon on ordering it before bed tonight.

Wondering the same. And how much a diff in speed is a 1.8 i5 to a 2.0 i7 ? SSD is what makes everything feel zippy. Guess we can hope anandtech spits out a review. :D

unless you're working with movies a lot like converting avi to mp4, u will not notice a speed difference between i5 and i7 when browsing, listening to music, etc.

i prefer the i5 with 8gb of ram.

I am going to get the 13" 256GB with 8GB RAM and the i5. I see no need for the i7 sine I have a 3.4GHz i7 iMac at my house for the heavy lifting. Even if I didn't have the iMac I am not sure I would spring for the upgrade.
