I want to buy a mac studio m1 ultra with 128gb of ram and was watching this video
I tried the same project as he, the dolphine scene, and it took me 18 minutes to render it out. It took him 6 minutes.
My pc spec is I7-6900k for cpu, 128gb of ram and gpu is rtx 3080 with 10 gb of vram.
So I have thought about buying a mac studio, but how well is it doing in Davinci, especially compared to my 3080 card? I have a feeling that I gain a lot with after effects and lose with davinci? After effects is my main software so it isn't a big deal, Davinci is only for removing green screen and do some color correction. I still need my pc for 3ds max so is mostly for after effects I'm thinking about Mac Studio. I shoot braw in 4.6k with Ursa mini pro by the way and downscale to 3440 x 1440.
If there are anyone that have a project for Davinci Resolve with heavy color correction that they want to share to do a speed test, that would be great.
