Ok so i know that i can't just swap the processors, and its probably not possible. But i was thinking why is it that the i7 Air performs just as well as the i5 Pro in benchmarks when the Air cpu use 15 watts (something around that) and the Pro cpu use 28 watts. Is it possible for say some sort of bios mod to underclock or undervolt the cpu on a macbook pro. Would you guys say the 28 watt cpu's are just not as efficient, is my logic invalid, find out on the next episode of DBZ (sorry had to throw it in there).

Here are the benchmarks: http://www.primatelabs.com/blog/2015/03/macbook-air-pro-benchmarks-march-2015/

I was just thinking that if i had a choice between a i7-5650u vs an i5-5257u, i would pick the i7 because of its lower TDP (or whatever its called). I would think the i7 would give me at least 15 hours of battery life cause of the larger battery in the MacBook Pro.
