Hi,

at the moment the iAd network has a very low fill rate. Does anybody know, if Apple approves Apps, that show alternative banners from other advertisers if no iAd is being delivered?

The idea behind it is obvious: If an iAd is available show it, because it´s much more attractive for the user and pays out well, if no iAd is available show at least a simple Admob banner or a static banner promoting another app from the same developer. Does Apple allow this or is there some kind of exclusive deal if you chose iAd for you App?

Regards,
matc

Apple allows other ad services such as AdMob. And you may want to consider integrating an ad mediation service such as AdWhirl to make using multiple ad services easier.

We use adwhirl and love it. You have complete control over what displays and when. And you can run house ads.
