iAds Never Show

I have noticed that I have never seen a single iAd on any one of my five iPhones. Three of the iPhones are activated and under AT&T contract not like that matters much. All I see is text that says iAd test advertisement no matter what app I use.

Is this normal for everyone?

Edit: After Googling this, it turns out I opted out of iAds on each phone last year when iAds was announced.
