Hey all.

Regarding iAd's.

Im going to stay opt'ed in for the following reasons.

1) To help dev's - on a free app, an ad more personal to me is more likley to get my attention and get them a bit of cash out of it.

2) The demo ad's from Apple look quite good and i wouldnt mind interacting with them

3) To help myself - Id quite like to see ad's targeted at me in general, things that i might like, or be intested in. Im happy to sacrifice a bit of my "personal data" for these ad's to work.

Thats my view, whats yours?

Peace out :)

I agree and would like to opt back in. I opted out before thinking the whole thing through.

Does anyone know how to opt back in, once having opted out?

This isn't a reason. You'll still be seeing ads made by Apple no matter what you pick.

I also stayed 'in.' Targeted ads are always much more interesting to see. I'd rather see ads for Sci-fi movies than senior citizen hearing aids.

Of course, I tend to buy the paid apps without ANY ads, so it's not as big a deal. But the times I want the free app, I'd rather that the ads be more interesting to me.

I wouldnt mind it so much if I had unlimited bandwidth. 2g cap is not friendly with iads...

You’re not really opting out of getting ads, you're opting out of the data mining for targeted ads...

Either way, you'll still see ads.
