ialertu email problem

hello this is my first so i don't know if im in the right category.
i install ialertu on my macbook 10.4 tiger and i cant get it for it to send me the email of the picture taken i put my hotmail i don't know if i can use that or if it only works with .mac accounts.. so if you have any information i'll really appreciated. thanks you guys
