iAntivirus damaging files

OS X 10.5.6 on an Intel Mac.

Whenever iAV detects a "threat", it automatically quarantines it. In the process, the file is damaged. If it quarantines an application, it won't launch, if it's a disk image, it won't mount.

Anybody else had this happen?
