A few months ago out of frustration of having to purchase another license for iBlacklist downloaded it instead using a repo that provided it for free.

A few weeks after that I was having some slight difficulties with my jailbreak deleted the app along with the repo.

Fast forward to yesterday when I once again decided I needed this app and did download it via the valid Cydia repo. I was prepared to purchase a legit license when I recognized the app was already registered, even without further validation.
Was this simply a fluke or standard procedure with jailbreaks?

iBlacklist app Scam

I purchased iBlacklist from the Apple store for $4.99 and a totally different app downloaded named SecretContacts, a simple passworded contacts list.

Because iblacklist in Cydia is different than iblacklist in App Store. You did get scammed because no way apple would let an app like iblacklist through its store. Next time do research before spending your money.
