My buddy is upgrading his iBook 900's ram. I've upgraded mine but it's been so long, I forgot the technical details. Need a couple of questions answered:

1. What type of RAM does the iBook 900 use?

2. Is a 1 gig chip available, or is 512 (640 total) still the max?

3. What's the best place to buy RAM from?

Thanks.

The biggest chip that you can put in it is a sdram/sodimm 512 MB (PC100 or PC133). That will bring you a max of 640 MB.

I have a Viking chip that I bought from TigerDirect, that has given me no problems, but the typical Mac user response will be to look up Crucial for ram. They seem to be pretty good both price and quality wise.
