Hello there,

My girlfriend has a 1.33 GHz PPC G4 768 SDRAM 12" iBook

Her battery has always been quite awesome and she's taken very good care of it, but in the last week it dies as soon as she unplugs it.

It results in a complete shutdown, not a sleep mode.

Note that two weeks ago her battery would last for three hours.

I downloaded coconut battery 2.2 and it lists the battery's current charge as 2mAh and the max battery charge as 1438 mAh.

It also detects that the charger is connected but it says that the battery is not charging.

Not sure what to do next. Any suggestions would be lovley. Cheers, Tom

Recalled!!

Woohoo! So thrilled that I don't have to buy her a new battery. I just learned that it is one of the affected batterys and it is part of the recall program.
Happy Hanukkah! Tom
