iBook beats G4 tower in XBench!

Well, not quite, but my 500 MHz dual USB iBook with its 8 Mb VRAM (I think it's a Rage 128 Mobility) gets 45.8 frames/sec in the OpenGL spinning squares test, whereas my G4/400 Sawtooth with a 64 Mb Radeon 8500 only gets 33.1 frames/sec. Whats going on here? Is my G4 under-performing? Anyone else with a similar G4 setup get vastly different results? Thanks
