iBook CD Drive ejects a piece of rubber

So I was ejecting a CD from my slot-loading drive, and it wouldn't quite come out. About 3 mm of disc was coming out of the iBook, then was quickly sucked back in. So I grabbed a pair of tweezers, and pulled the CD out by the 3 mm of disc that was showing. There was a piece of black rubber with adhesive on one side stuck to the CD.

Now my iBook's drive still works, but whenever I put CDs or DVDs in, they make some odd noises. My iBook is still under warranty - do you think Apple will fix something like this?

Did it look like it could be the rubber lining inside the slot? Looking at mine, it has little rubber "flaps" just inside the plastic, probably to keep dirt and junk out of it. Take it to your nearest Apple Store or call them up. I can almost guarantee you that they will repair it under warrantee.
