CANADA? eh?
I know im a guy and all...but they are so cute

i want like a million off them or like 5 just to run around and lay all over them...lol

i found a working last gen ibook clamshell for 100....but i want like 5....one of each color?

i wish i found like a school trashing there old macs...but no one is near me!

You should go to the marketplace and post there that you want 5 iBooks. Then when you get them you should post a pic in the setups thread.

I likewise think the clamshells are cute. Where can you purchase one other than on forum's like these? Are there any Apple resellers that still have refurb clamshells in good working condition?

Craigsity-craigsity-craigslist! Also, try your local dump. That's where I found my tangerine clammy.

but I needed the POWUH!!! Of an IceBook. :D :p

*snort* Not to mention the sweaty, appaling keyboard, the incredibly scratch-prone plastic, they're impossible to work on, and they look like the ugly iStepBook of the iBook G4.

Sorry for that rant, I have had two iceBooks, which I loathed and despised. Actually though, the clams are reasonably POWUHful under OS 9. No UNIXy goodness tho.

Clamshell iBooks have a lot of personality in their design, a feature that doesn't really exist in the later Macbook and iBook lines (but I think that the newer designs are great too).

Then again, I think I feel the same way about Pismo G3 Powerbooks as the OP feels about clamshells.

Their different for sure....but I've lost favor with them recently...cool, but I don't like them as much as I once did.

the computer/electronic recyling place wont let me take stuff

i went there to take a monitor and saw so many apple iMacs and powermacs(g3s) and other old apple

and i tried to take some...but they wouldnt let me!

Gotta sweet talk em. i just look all young and 13 and innocent, and say I'm doing stuff for charity, and give them some old PC as well, and they usually let me take something.

Actually, the charity part isn't entirely untrue, I donated a 366MHz Tangerine with a new battery to kids in Uganda.

This may sound crazy, but when it came to buying an Apple notebook, I was considering a brand new C2D MacBook against a G3 iBook Clamshell! LOL I loved the Clamshell design, especially in Key Lime. I didn't get the clamshell mainly because I couldn't run Leopard, plus I would've had to get it upgraded (RAM, HD and a new battery).

Such a shame that when they came out I was only 5 years old

As was I! My first memories of them were in an elementary school; they're eternally popular with kids...
