hi,

I have sold my iBook G3 900mhz with 640mb and bought a 12" 1ghz powerbook with 768mb ram.

what I would like to know is....

a)will i notice a big speed improvement?
b) would i benefit in speed at all from upgrading to tiger or would i be best to wait till i buy my new laptop next year?
c) is the keyboard on the powerbook flimsy compared to the ibook?
d) does the 1ghz powerbook get really really hot like the 867mhz powerbook?

and finally

e)should i use anything to put between the keyboard on the powerbook and screen when I close it, will it damage the hinges and what does everyone recommend to use (i have noticed that my ibook occasionally had marks from the keyboard on the screen)

thanks

mike

a. You will probably will notice a diffrence. I am not sure how great.
b. You would notice a small diffrerence. If you can find a good deal I
Would go for it.
c. The Powerbook is widely reguarded as having a better keyboard.
d. The 1Ghz model does not get as hot as the 867Mhz model
e. I would save your money. I had the same model powerbook and never
had a problem.

Is that true that the 867Mhz really gets very hot? Like unusable hot or just a little hot?
