Hi guys, I'm just wondering which airport card do I have to get to access WiFi for the iBook G3. I just got one from eBay to use as a casual internet browsing laptop but it doesn't actually come with the card so I need to know which one I need to buy.

I'm not exactly sure on any exact product model or whatever, I just bought it and it hasn't arrived yet. This is it.

I was looking at this and this but wasn't sure if any of those would suit and I want to be sure.

I have never used macs extensively in my life aside from playing around with a few old ones when I was younger so I'm not really that much of a mac expert. I'd really appreciate any advice!

Thanks in advance.

The first airport card will NOT work with WPA2 so if you have a newer wi-fi modem you may have to use WPA1 (if that even works with the first airport card?) or use no password :)

WPA1 will definitely work with the first Airport cards, but you need at least Panther I think. Won't work in OS 9.

As already stated both will work, and yes wpa will work with os x 10.3 or higher. You will also need to download an airport update using the software update application otherwise the card will be limited to useless WEP.
